Las Escuelas Públicas del Condado de Polk (PCPS) estarán aceptando solicitudes durante la Ventana de Solicitudes de Elección de Escuela, que estará abierta del 12 de enero al 20 de febrero.

Dear PCPS families,

I want to wish everyone a healthy, happy, and safe New Year! After the excitement and joy of the holiday season, students returning to class help us settle back into our normal routines. Don’t worry — we will soon dive into the busy final months of learning in the current school year and find ourselves welcoming another summer.

In the meantime, don’t forget to consider your school choice options for the upcoming 2026–2027 school year.

There are so many amazing programs, academies, and learning environments offered within our schools! Families now have more choices than ever to find the school setting that is right for their children.

Polk County Public Schools (PCPS) will be accepting applications during the School Choice Application Window, which will be open from January 12 through February 20.

This application window allows families to apply for a variety of PCPS programs, including:

• Magnet / choice schools
• Career academies (elementary, middle, and high school)
• High school International Baccalaureate and Cambridge programs
• Summerlin Academy
