En el momento que entras a Havana Delights Café, te invade la nostalgia. Experimentas con todos los sentidos y el olor familiar de la comida casera se mezcla con decenas de imágenes y objetos que desde los muros hablan de tradición, de orgullo hispano y de memorias de otros tiempos.

La calle Main en la ciudad de Bartow aloja este rincón culinario donde Alfredo Saltos y Christine Seoane, sus propietarios, reciben a todos con ese calor humano que caracteriza a nuestra gente caribeña, edificando así el punto ideal para  disfrutar de una comida auténticamente cubana con toques latinos.

“Abrimos este restaurante en Lakeland hace 21 años y ya tenemos 18 años en Bartow. Desde el inicio e inspirados en mi madre Martha nos propusimos brindar el auténtico sabor de Cuba, desde el conocido sandwich cubano y la media noche a arroz, frijoles, una variedad de carnes, tamales y ensaladas”, expresa Christine.

Hombro a hombro, junto a ella, ha estado su esposo Alfredo quien agrega: “Todo esto se trata de pasión, de sacrificio por las horas que invertimos para ofrecer un servicio de calidad, pero también se trata de involucrarse con la comunidad, con nuestra gente y sus sueños”.

“Nuestros colaboradores son como nuestra familia, de la misma forma que nuestros clientes, por eso tenemos esa frase en nuestra pared: Llegas como cliente y sales como familia. Aquí se cocina como si fuera para nuestro propio hogar, con ingredientes de calidad y combinando sabores con el amor por lo que haces”, expresa Christine, quien agrega que con el tiempo se han diversificado haciendo catering para diferentes actividades sociales, deportivas, culturales y educativas.

Ya sea para cumplir el antojo de un rico flan, de un aromático cafecito cubano o ser uno de las cientos de personas que van de diferentes partes del país a saborear su plato estrella “masitas de puerco”,  con arroz y frijoles, congrí, yuca o como parte esencial de un rico sandwich cubano, hay que pasar por Bartow y sentirse como en casa recordando el preciado sazón de la abuela.

Main Street in the city of Bartow hosts this culinary corner where Alfredo Saltos and Christine Seoane, its owners, welcome everyone with the warmth characteristic of our Caribbean people, creating the perfect spot to enjoy an authentically Cuban meal with Latin touches.

“We opened this restaurant in Lakeland 21 years ago and have been in Bartow for 18 years. From the beginning, inspired by my mother Martha, we aimed to provide the authentic taste of Cuba, from the well-known Cuban sandwich and the ‘media noche’ to rice, beans, a variety of meats, tamales, and salads,” expresses Christine.

Shoulder to shoulder with her, her husband Alfredo adds, “It’s all about passion, about the sacrifice for the hours we invest to offer quality service, but it’s also about getting involved with the community, with our people and their dreams.”

“Our collaborators are like our family, just like our customers, which is why we have that phrase on our wall: You arrive as a customer and leave as family. Here, we cook as if it were for our own home, with quality ingredients and combining flavors with love for what you do,” says Christine, who adds that over time they have diversified by providing catering for various social, sports, cultural, and educational events.
